Description
Practise anagrams for 11+ verbal reasoning
An anagram rearranges the letters of a word to make another word. This worksheet and video tutorial help children recognise words from rearranged letters.
A simple example
LISTEN → SILENT. Both words use the same six letters, once each, in a different order. No letters are added or removed. This illustrates the skill; follow the worksheet instructions for its question format.
How to solve anagrams
- Count the letters and note repeated letters.
- Look for familiar letter combinations and word endings.
- Use any clue or sentence to narrow your choices.
- Check that your answer uses every given letter the correct number of times.
