Levelled Reading List
About
This booklist has been put together specifically to prepare children for success in the 11 plus exams, independent school exams and year 6 SATs.
Students taking these exams need to spend time at home reading a large number of books gradually progressing onto harder material.
We have taken the time to divide the books into levels and categories so that children are exposed to enough variety and can move up gradually without the process feeling too forced.
It is a good idea to read at least ten books, before moving up to the next level. Do not underestimate the lower-level books. These are excellent to help with sentence structure, building imagination and sheer pleasure!
NOTE: this list is our suggestion only and is in no way is an exhaustive list.
We have included links for every book to make it easy for you to purchase products.
